MTS Nano Instruments introduces the new Nano Indenter G200, the most advanced platform for exploring material properties at the nano and micro scales. Its state of the art motion system speeds sample throughput without sacrificing accuracy. It also conforms to ISO 14577 – 1, 2 & 3; delivering confidence in test accuracy and repeatability.
While the Nano Indenter G200 system is a flagship instrument for performing nanoindentation experiments, its capabilities extend to other modes of testing; such as mechanical probing, scratch testing and nanomechanical microscopy. With a Nano Indenter G200 system from MTS, you can perform a variety of different tests; all with unparalleled levels of control.
Advantage Through Design
The advantages of owning a system from MTS begin with the design of the core technology. All nanoindentation experiments rely on the fundamental load and displacement data, requiring the utmost control of load applied to the sample. Each Nano Indenter system from MTS is powered by electromagnetic actuation-based force transducers, eliminating any possibility for drift in force. A capacitance gauge measures displacement as the indenter column is pushed into the sample while dual leaf springs hold the column stable.

Loading the sample tray
With two leaf springs, the head assembly is extremely rigid in the lateral direction while maintaining compliance in the vertical direction.
While our systems are engineered for quality and excellence in test results, the advantages extend beyond the core technology into the level of flexibility and control afforded the user. Our industry-leading TestWorks 4 software not only automates the testing process, it also enables the user to control experiments on the fly. With TestWorks, you can obtain exactly the data you want by changing recording rates based on experimental conditions. This feature enables you to optimize the recording rate and manage test file sizes.
